Dana Katz serves as the Executive Director for the Los Angeles Police Foundation, a position she has held since June 2019. Prior to that, she served as the organization’s Director of Development for 8 1/2 years. Katz is responsible for the overall direction of the organization, working with the Board of Directors to ensure the LAPF’s annual fundraising and program goals are met. Katz has nearly 20 of development experience with non-profits in the Los Angeles area.
She holds a master’s in public administration from the University of Southern California and a master’s in Jewish Communal Service from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Katz earned a bachelor’s degree in education and social policy from Northwestern University.
Tracy Szpeinski serves as the Program Officer of the LAPF, a position she has held since 2010. In this capacity, Szpeinski is responsible for coordinating all activities relating to the LAPF’s grant making to the Los Angeles Police Department. These duties include: managing the grant application process; coordinating efforts with the LAPD; working with the LAPF Board of Directors to approve grants; and monitoring and following up on grant activities. Szpeinski has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources management from Western Michigan University.
