Our population is growing, and with more than 50 million children 12 years of age and younger living in the United States, we have seen a corresponding rise in gang membership. Some of these criminals are second, third and fourth generation gang members.
In order to fight gang-related activity and other crimes, the Los Angeles Police Department is in need of the best in modern technology, including upgraded surveillance equipment and state-of-the-art computers.
The mission of SupportLAPD is to utilize donations to assist in the modernization of the Los Angeles Police Department so that our men and women in blue can fight crime using the finest technological equipment available. This equipment will assist the Los Angeles Police Department in apprehending criminals by capturing illegal activities on film, which will lead to faster, easier and more efficient arrest and prosecution.
